Redefining Leadership: You Don't Need a Title
January 10, 2026 4 min read
"I wasn't elected School Captain, so I have no leadership." Wrong.
Title Leadership: You wear a badge. You organize the assembly. It's good, but passive.
Action Leadership: You saw a problem and fixed it.
Example: You noticed the school cafeteria wasted tons of food. You organized a partnership with a local shelter to donate leftovers. You had no title, but you led a solution.
Example: You taught your grandmother how to use digital banking, then realized other seniors needed help, so you started a weekend workshop in your colony. This is the leadership that makes for a killer essay.
