If you paste your US Common App essay into UCAS, you will likely be rejected.
The US Approach: "Here is my personality, my leadership, and my trauma."
The UK Approach: "Here is why I am obsessed with Economics."
80% Academic: Discuss books you've read, theories you've explored, and lectures you've attended related to your major.
20% Extracurricular: Only mention activities if they demonstrate transferable skills (e.g., "Debate taught me to construct logical arguments useful for Law").
Focus: Intellectual curiosity. Show them you have read beyond the school syllabus.
